| UCI TechPortal Event. On Thursday, May 20, 2010, Calit2 will unveil a new technology business incubator located in the institute's building at UC Irvine. TechPortal is a one-stop shop for fledgling companies; the nearly 1,500-square-foot incubator offers affordable space, access to facilities and services, business programs, expertise and mentoring for up to eight companies at a time.
