Hollywood Software Buys Digital Cinema Systems, Inc.

Woodland Hills-based Hollywood Software, a developer of enterprise software used by studios, independent movie distributors, and exhibitors to run their distribution and exhibition businesses, said it has acquired Digital Cinema Systems, Inc., a provider of motion picture playback systems. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Digital Cinema Systems develops the FilmStore, a digital cinema playback solution.
