Internet Archive Restores Massive Collection Of MySpace MP3s

According to the Internet Archive, it was able to restore a 450,000 song collection of music from 2008 to 2010 on MySpace, as a result of the secret "MySpace Music Dragon Hoard", collected by an un-named academic researcher.

Rovi Plans To Sell CinemaNow

CinemaNow was acquired by Rovi in late 2010 for $720M from Sonic Solutions, which acquired CinemaNow in 2008. Rovi said it has retained GCA Savvian Advisors, LLC, to advise it in the sale. Rovi said the move comes as part of an effort to focus on growth opportunities in its core business.

Recargo Buys PlugInCars.com

PlugInCars.com was launched in 2010 by Brad Berman, and according to Recargo had an average of 70,000 unique monthly visitors in 2011. Recargo is headed by Brian Kariger, who previously headed up Lexico Publishing Group, the company ran Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com and Reference.com until its acquisition by IAC/Ask.com in 2008.

Nexsan Pulls IPO

Nexsan, which had filed for an IPO in April of 2008, cited "unfavorable market conditions" for the withdrawal. Nexsan was one of a number of local technology companies who had hoped to reach the public markets, and came to the brink of an offering in April of 2010.
