IPO Market Surpasses 2008, 2009, According to Report

A new report today released by PwC finds that the market for initial public offerings (IPOs) has jumped significantly in 2010, with volumes exceeding both 2008 and 2009 levels. PwC did not detail specific IPOs, however, Southern California's technology industry has seen its own share of IPOs this year, including RealD, Inphi, and Green Dot.

Secure Technology Company Sold To Benchmark Electronics For $230M

Santa Ana-based Secure Technology Company , a developer of ruggedized computers for the military and other markets, has been sold to Benchmark Electronics in a deal worth $230M in cash. Secure Technology's computers and other electronics are sold into the highly regulated industrial, aerospace and defense markets. Vance Street Capital had acquired Secure in October of 2009. Secure Technology was advised by Harris Williams & Co.

Kingston Technology Hits $6.5 Billion In Revenues

Fountain Valley-based Kingston Technology , the provider of computer memory products, reported today that it has hit a record, $6.5 billion increase in its sales over 2009. kingston technology memory flash computer revenuesbillion in revenues in 2010. UCLA Anderson Gets $11M For New Technology Center

UCLA's Anderson School of Business has launched a new research center, called the Easton Technology Management Center , thanks to an $11M gift from James L. According to UCLA, the new center will focus on innovative research and scholarship in technology management, and will broaden the base of technology opportunities across the UCLA campus. Easton, who helped establish the Easton Technology Leadership Program at UCLA in 2009, has a background in engineering from UCLA.
