Universal Electronics Sues Logitech

Cypress-based Universal Electronics , the developer of wireless control technology and remotes, said Friday that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Logitech. Universal Electronics said the suit claims infringement of seventeen of its patents relating to remote control technology. Universal has sued Logitech Inc.,

Qualcomm Backs Femtocell Firm Ip.access

San Diego-based Qualcomm has made another investment in femtocell and picocell technology developer ip.access , as part of a new round of funding. Ip.access is using Qualcomm's technology, including its Femtocell Station Modem (FSM) chipsets and femtocell patents. Qualcomm and Ip.access inked that technology deal in September of 2010.
