Search engine giant Google appears to be ramping its hiring efforts in Irvine, according to representatives of the company. The firm said it grew the Irvine locations by more than 20 percent in 2010, and that this will be the firm's hiring year ever including its Southern California locations.

Google Googles , the mobile visual recognition application being developed by search giant Google, said today that it has launched a new "marketing experiment" around Buick, Disney, Diageo, T-Mobile, and Delta Airlines. According to Google's Googles team, those five brands have created "Goggles-enabled" print ads, movie posters, and other media which will allow users to take a picture of those ads, and be able to click through to special mobile destinations for those brands.

Los Angeles-based Shopzilla annoucned today that the firm has inked a strategic partnership with Google , to include its Bizrate ratings and review within Google's Product Search and Google AdWords ads.
