Google Starts Downgrading Speakers Due to Sonos Patent Win

Santa Barbara-based smart speaker maker Sonos has scored a major win in its patent efforts, winning a patent infringement case it had filed against Google. As a result of that win, Google has started stripping functionality from its speakers, rather than pay Sonos for licensing.
