Miso Robotics Links With Beverage Dispenser Provider

Pasadena-based robotics developer Miso Robotics announced on Tuesday tht it has linked with global beverage dispenser manufacturer Lancer Worldwide, to build an automated beverage dispenser for commercial kitchens. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. According to Miso Robotics, the new product will help address record labor shortages at quick-serve restaurants (QSRs).

Robotaxi Company Pony.ai Gets Permits To Test Vehicles In Irvine

Pony.ai, a Chinese company developing driverless "robo-taxi" vehicles, has gained permission from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test its vehicles on public roads in Irvine, along with Fremont and Milpitas. According to the DMV, the permit will allow the company to test six autonomous vehicles without a driver behind the wheel on specified streets within Fremont (Alameda County), Milpitas (Santa Clara County) and Irvine (Orange County).

Huntington Beach-based BeSmartee, a developer of digital mortgage software, said Tuesday that it has received a strategic growth investment. The funding came from M33 Growth. Size of the new investment was not announced. BeSmartee develops digital mortgage software, which is used by banks, credit unions, and other lenders to manage the mortgage lending process.
