MyShape Runs Out Of Cash, Shuts Down

Los Angeles-based MyShape , the online personalized fashion and women's clothing firm, has shut down. MyShape had raised north of $36M in funding from such investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Pasadena Angels, Tech Coast Angels, and Tenaya Capital.

Tech Coast Angels: 7 New Deals, 17 Follow-On Investments In 2009

The Tech Coast Angels said today that the angel group invested in seven new deals, and seventeen follow-on deals in 2009, a total of $4.7M in investments. The group said that as part of those deals, its portfolio companies raised an additional $57M in funding from venture capital groups and other angel investors.

Tech Coast Angels Highlights 2010 Deals

The Tech Coast Angels , [ profile ] the largest angel investment group in Southern California, outlined its 2010 deals today, saying that it funded a total of 31 deals in 2010, and had three profitable exits. The TCA said that 12 of those deals were new investments, and 19 were follow-on investments for the company.

MyShape Raises $12M, But Not Done Yet

Pasadena-based MyShape has raised $12M in a round of venture capital, the company's CEO, Louise Wannier, confirmed Monday after reports that the firm had closed a round of funding, but said the round was still in progress. MyShape runs an online apparel store which is targeted on matching women with clothing that best fits them.

TCA Hits $1B In Investments

The Tech Coast Angels , Southern California's largest angel investment group, disclosed this morning that it has finally reached the $1 billion mark in investments received by its portfolio firms. The TCA also said that it invested $75M in 2008, across 15 first-time financings and 16 follow-on rounds.
