Los Angeles-based TeleSign said on Wednesday that it is in a new partnership with Microsoft's Skype , to screen robocalls. According to TeleSign, Skype will implement Telesign's digital identity solution, called Score, to take action against calls that are likely of a fraudulent origin.

Los Angeles-based Flipagram , the startup which develops mobile apps which let you put your photos to free, popular music, said today that its apps now feature full screen photo video editing, and up to 60 seconds of free music. The company said the full screen support allow for "bigger, better and more engaging" mobile video stories.

Los Angeles-based online movie site Fandango is hosting former U.S. Vice President Al Gore at a screening of the film, An Inconvenient Sequel , at LA's Greek Theater this week, the company announced this morning. Fandango said the special screening is open to the public and free to attend, but that tickets are first come first serve.

Los Angeles-based Fandango said Wednesday that it has added another 1,000 screens available via its mobile and online movie ticketing service, from five different movie theater companies. Fandango said the new screens brings its U.S. coverage to more than 23,000 screens. Financial impact of the addition was not announced.

Los Angeles-based rental screening app developer HomeMe dislosed this morning that it has raised $3.2M in a funding round. The funding was led by Menlo Ventures. HomeMe develops a mobile app which lets renters find apartments, and then get pre-approval for those apartments. The company is led by Steelhouse founder Mark Douglas.

Los Angeles-based RealD , the developer of 3D movie projection technology, reported this morning that it has surpassed 20,000 3D-equipped screens worldwide. RealD said it had approximately 20,200 screens installed as of its quarter ended March 23rd. The firm said it is now the "most widely used" 3D cinema technology provider.
