Disney Accelerator Shows Off Startups At 2017 Demo Day

The Disney Accelerator has rolled out the newest class of startup from its startup accelerator this week, showing off 11 new companies from the 2017 Disney Accelerator program on Wednesday in Burbank. The startup accelerator--run by The Walt Disney Company--said this year's startup included Ambidio (surround sound for personal devices); aXiomatic (esports and gaming); Brit + Co. (digital media focused on inspiring women); Epic Games (creators of the Unreal Engine); Hoodline (local news and content discovery); Kahoot! (game-based learning and trivia for K-12); ProductionPro (film, television, and theatre production tool); MessageYes (mobile messaging firm, formerly known as ReplyYes); Samba TV (viewing data and analytics); Savioke (autonomous indoor robots); and The VOID (location-based entertainment and virtual experiences). Disney has inked a variety of relationships with its businesses and all of the startups involved, one of the key benefits of the accelerator.
