CalTech MIT Enterprise Forum – Great events on various topics – there's one this Saturday that would be great to go to. They put on great events. VentureNet – Great annual event by the Technology Council. AITP-LA – Monthly events. Often very IT focused, but can be interesting topics.

Join local organizations like OCTANe , TechStars or Launchpad LA. If you’re three s -hot kids from Stanford, Caltech or MIT you might be able to push valuation higher. Don’t worry if they can’t help in your daily business. There are other ways you can get help. I just wanted to provide some guidelines.
