San Diego-based molecular testing technology developer Progenity said this morning that it has named Troy Seelye as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Seelye was most recently at Teradata, and also served at Illumina, and Amgen. Seelye had spent 17 years of his career with Amgen.

San Diego-based Qualcomm has appointed a new Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, the company said this morning. Qualcomms aid that it has named Mary Gendron as its new CIO, to lead the company's IT operation.

San Diego-based Nirvanix , the cloud storage service operator, has snagged the current CIO of Zynga as its new CEO, according to the company Monday. Debra Chrapaty, who formerly was CIO of Zynga, also served at Cisco as SVP of its Collaboration Software Group, in addition to working at Microsoft and E*TRADE Technologies.

San Diego-based BuyAutoParts.com , an online e-commerce site focused on auto parts, said Thursday that it has named Adrian Crisan as the company''s Chief Information Officer. Crisan joins from AutoAnything, where he was VP of Software Engineering. Crisan also has served at Sony Electronics and HP/Compaq.

San Diego-based Shoreline Biosciences, a developer of cell immunotherapies for treating solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, has raised $140M in a financing round, the company said today. The company said that Frank Yu, Founder, CEO and CIO of Ally Bridge Group, joined the company's board of directors as part of the funding.

San Diego-based DriveCam , which develops driver monitoring systems for commercial vehicles, reported today that it has named Drew Martingas its Chief Informatoin officer. Martin was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Sony Electronics. Martin has also served at PepsiCo.
