She took an operating role helping run Citysearch and Urbanspoon. The core of the investing job of course is investing dollars into startup companies and helping as a mentor, advisor and board member on the companies in which you’ve invested. My literal response was, “She went to Princeton undergrad and has a Stanford MBA. I’m only 52!

I acted as the occasional mentor, advisor and coach to Ethan. And I had been telling my partners for a couple of years that I thought Ethan was one of the more talented entrepreneurs I had come across in San Francisco. The company was called Red Beacon. I was standing with him when he won the TechCrunch 50 award.

It was Citysearch for women to find guys. As a first time entrepreneur what have you found to the toughest hurdle you’ve had to arise over? What advice do you have for women as entrepreneurs and those just getting involved with the business and entrepreneur worlds? We started definitely for women only. What’s next?
