El Segundo-based Ripple has been acquired by TargetCast Networks, a San Ramon-based operator of a out-of-home digital advertising network. According to TargetCast Networks, the buy gives it 1400 locations and 3425 screens delivering local and national advertisements. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. READ MORE>>.

Casting some additional light on the acquisition of El Segundo-based Ripple last week, acquiring firm TargetCast Networks revealed today that it has received a new round of venture capital worth $6.5M from DFJ and its existing backer Claremont Creek Ventures, which the firm said would go towards expansion of its network.
