We continue to have a steady stream of industry and thought leaders raising their hands to be mentors for our upcoming cohorts. Our most recent Demo Day in November 2018 (at Google/Venice on the main stage) was the most well-attended Demo Day in the history of Startup Boost.

Previously we had to bring companies from all around the world to our 8 week accelerator program in Santa Monica and we were restricted by having to use local investors, trainers and mentors to keep our startups occupied. We now invest in more companies, include better trainers and involve 3 times more investors in the demo days.

The real unique part of this program, which I'm excited about, is the marriage between the mentoring that a company could receive from both those with an entrepreneurial startup background of Techstars, and the deep, vertical knowledge of clinicians or healthcare administrators, who have been doing healthcare work for a while. They have aggregated talent into similar locations to learn from each other and made it easier for high-profile mentors to meet many companies at once.
