BlackLine Shifts User Event To Virtual Conference

Los Angeles-based accounting software developer BlackLine is taking a new approach to its annual user conference in Europe, saying that it will now run its InTheBlack London 2020 event as a fully virtual event--but which will still feature thought leaders from its customers and users, instead as a series of virtual event sessions. The company--like the rest of the world--has had to rapidly shift its plans in light of the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. BlackLine said its 10th annual European user conference had originally been scheduled to take place in London. Despite the disruption, Blackline said it will instead provide a series of online presentation including six hours of content over two days, featuring speakers from its customers, including Domino's, G4S, and Micro Focus. In addition, it will include presentations from BlackLine's CEO Therese Tucker and other executives from the company. The now virtual event will be held March 17th and 18th, the same dates as BlackLine had intended to run its in-person conference in London.
