I recently hosted a panel at the Twiistup Conference about LA tech companies. I asked the panelists ( David Travers , Brian Norgard , Fouad ElNaggar , & Demian Sellfors ) about the specific challenges that we face down here in Los Angeles as opposed to Silicon Valley. It’s a chicken and egg problem.

Brian grew up locally and after he was graduated from Stanford (engineering) and Stanford MBA he went to work at a firm called Palomar Ventures. I see similar sacrifices in time away from families, I see VCs on late-night conference calls or red-eyes back East.
