Mangling JSON numbers

If we need to produce JSON from JavaScript, of course we expect that JSON.stringify will be involved. If we never use JSON.stringify , and instead we use something like x.toFixed() to print numbers like this, we can avoid this problem. This is probably infeasible in practice.
