We went out on the Android and Blackberry, and as we were going out to market, we realized that we could use that consumer launch as a proving ground for our technology, and leverage that to the B2B market. When I joined the company, I found an amazing technology platform and analytics capability. We're really headed for three screens.

Lots of them were in online media and entertainment. I was selling products to Live Nation, Demand Media, Kelly Blue Book, Rovi, and the Screen Actors Guild. My co-founder, Taylor Mcpartland, is the entertainment guy. He spent the past 8 years as a producer and writer, and has a phenomenal Rolodex in the entertainment business.

There are two ways you can use the app -- you can either play your iPad like it is a real instrument, by strumming the touch screen. It's a diverse group, both entertainment and technology. It teaches people how to learn guitar, ukulele, and banjo. How did you find those investors?

The co-founder core team, including a CTO, should be fully formed and passionate enough to be working on the project full time. Their first “App Show” is called Braindex produced by 51 Minds Entertainment (an Endemol company), and allows users to play trivia head-to-head against celebrities like Mike Tyson on their mobile device.

OP: myLINGO is a smartphone app where you can select and download an audio track of a movie in your preferred language and go to the theatre and have that audio track synchronize to the movie playing on the screen. He’s a former President of Sony Pictures Technologies and former CTO of Warner Bros. Entertainment.
