As part of doing that, I've had the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of different chief technical officers from different kinds of companies over those years. At the CTO Group that I organize in Santa Monica, we've had lots of discussions around this. PIM based on Java that would be up-to-date on all your devices. Server and client in Java. Java as a platform wasn't ready to deliver on client side. Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference.
