If you think of Pinterest, one of our customers, every time content is pinned or re-pinned, an email is generated to let users know that is happening. We now send over six billion emails per month on behalf of those customers. What is Sendgrid?

The topic of whether the web is dead was kicked off by Chris Andersen of Wired Magazine in this article. The Internet existed long before the World Wide Web and web browsers were created.

Mentions - Marc Andreessen's - The three kinds of platforms you meet on the Internet A Level 1 platform's apps run elsewhere, and call into the platform via a web services API to draw on data and services -- this is how Flickr does it. He sees this as similar to what happened with SMTP, POP, HTTP, etc. I would tend to agree.
