Carlsbad-based MaxLinear , which develops radio frequency (RF) and mixed signal, integrated circuits, has scored a design win with a satellite receiver developer. MaxLinear said its products are being used by the Unitron Group, for a new satellite receiver, used for receiving signals from up to four satellite bands and multicasting up to 32 channels on an IP network. Unitron is using MaxLinear's MXL584 FSC full spectrum capture (FSC) receiver as part of its product.
