Edmunds Jumps On AR Bandwagon

Santa Monica-based car information and shopping site Edmunds has jumped on the augmented reality (AR) bandwagon today, saying it is launching a new AR feature for its iPhone app, which will help shoppers see what a vehicle will look like--and if it will fit--anywhere they might want to park it. Edmunds said its AR feature will let users see how different vehicles might fit in their garages, parking spaces and driveways. Edmunds said it developed the new feature using Apple's ARKit.
