HemaCare Moves To Larger Headquarters In Northridge

HemaCare, a supplier of human-derived biological products and services for biomedical research, drug discovery, and cellular therapy process development, has moved its global headquarters to Northridge, in a move that the company says more than doubles its donor collection capacity and on-site cell processing capabilities. The company, which was previously based in Van Nuys, says its new facility is at the 44-acre Harman Campus.

Financial details of that acquisition were not announced. Electro Rent is owned by private equity investor Platinum Equity, which bought the company in August of last year. JetPack Aviation Links With Georgia Tech

Van Nuys-based JetPack Aviation , a developer of commercially available "jet packs" for sending people into the air, said today that it has signed an agreement with Georgia Tech Research Institute. According to the company, the two will merge JetPack's technology with a similar subsystem bilt by Georgia Tech, to address military applications. JetPack did not details terms of the agreement with Georgia Tech, but said the two will jointly solicit R&D funding from the U.S.
