To this day I’m astounded that IBM, Google, Sun, Microsoft and others didn’t offer this service and Amazon did. At the time we viewed Amazon’s offering, EC2 as too nascent. Cloud Data Platform. In case you don’t know Applied Semantics it’s Google AdSense. Work it did. Think about it.
