RightScale Rolls Out Grid Computing Product


Santa Barbara-based RightScale , the venture-backed developer of cloud computing management software backed by Benchmark Capital and Index Ventures, said yesterday that it has launched a new product specifically focused on grid processing. The new software connects into Amazon AWS, and its EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), SQS (Simple Queue Service), and S3 (Simple Storage Service) to coordinate grid processing. Pricing on the new product was not announced.

RightScale Links Into IBM DB2


Santa Barbara-based cloud computing management software firm RightScale is linking its products into IBM DB2, one of the major enterprise database software packages, the firm said today. RightScale said it will support creating, managing, and automating IBM DB2 Express-C on such services as Amazon EC2. RightScale devleops products which help in deploying applications across Amazon EC2 and other cloud computing environments.

Santa Barbara-based RightScale , a firm which develops cloud computing management software, has linked its products with New Relic, a developer of application performance management software, the firms said this week. RightScale's software helps companies deploy servers into cloud computing clusters such as Amazon EC2.
