Hollywood-based professional esports team Team 33 , which says it is developing a roster of professional e-sports players for Call of Duty, CS:60, Valorant, Wodl of Warcraft, Fortnite, and other esports leagues, says it has signed on an 8-year old for its team. According to the esports team, it signed Joseph Deen (33 Gosu) to its team, paying him a $33,000 signing bonus and providing him with a $5000 gaming setup to be part of its talent roster.

Santa Monica-based game publisher Activision says its Call of Duty franchise has surpassed $3 billion in net bookings over the last 12 months. The publisher recently launched a new title, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. According to Activision, over 200 million people played Call of Duty this year, with November the biggest month ever for monthly players and hours played.
