Tetra Tech Acquires BridgeNet

Pasadena-based Tetra Tech , which provides global consulting and engineering services, said late Thursday that it has acquired Newport Beach-based BridgeNet , a developer of aviation technology. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. BridgeNet is a developer of software, Volans, used for aerospace data analytics, environmental and acoustic modeling, and 3-dimensional airspace visualization for federal and commercial aviation customers.

MovieLaLa , which had operated an app-based, social network for movie fans--and was backed by LA angel investors--as been acquired by user generated GIF site Gfycat , Gyfcat said on Thursday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition, Gyfcat has redirected all of MovieLaLa's website to its own pages. MovieLaLa's investors include Allen DeBevoise, Jim Moloshok, and other LA angel investors, plus such investors as Marc Benioff of Salesforce.com.
