Jaunt Studios , the content production arm of virtual reality hardware and software developer Jaunt VR, says it has linked up with the Sundance Institute , and will run a six month "VR Residency Program", which will help artists make their own virtual reality short films. Jaunt Studios--which is based in Los Angeles--said it ahs selected Daniel Arsham, Yung Jake, and Lily Baldwin & Saschka Unseld as the three artists to kick off the program.

Los Angeles-based online technology retailer Newegg is in a big push to reach out to students on college campuses, saying on Thursday that it plans to visit over 80 universities, as school gets under way.
