The LA CTO Forum recently conducted a survey to find out what our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) members saw as their biggest challenges heading into 2019. We received over 250 responses that provides a pretty good insight into the top CTO challenges. The rating scale was 1-5 with: Not a challenge A small challenge Somewhat a challenge Definitely a challenge Keeps me up at night We provide both an Average and a Scaled Rating that gives much higher weight to 4s and 5s and discounts 1s and 2s.

HyperX Launches New PS4, Nintendo Switch Accessories

Fountain Valley-based HyperX , the gaming division of Kingston Technology, said this morning that it has launched a new set of accessories for both the PS4 and Nintento Switch. The company said it has launched fthe HyperX ChargePlay Quad Joy-Con Charging Station for Nintendo Switch and HyperX ChargePlay Duo Controller Charging Station for PS4. Both accessories are used for charging game controllers via wireless charging.

Brain To Roll Out Autonomous Robots At Walmart

San Diego-based robotics and artificial intelligence software developer Brain Corp. said on Monday that Walmart Stores will be rolling out a fleet of robots, powered by its software, starting in early 2019. According to Brain Corp., the 360 Robots will be used to automate Walmart's fleet of floor scrubbers across the United States, so that those scrubbers can automatically clean and scrubs floors at its stores.

Scientist.com Links With Allele Biotechnology

Hawthorne-based SpaceX shifts its planned launch for Sunday to today, Monday, saying it is now looking to launch the Spaceflight SSO-A: SmallSat Express mission from Vandenberg Air Force Base this morning. SpaceX said the launch window for the mission opens at 10:32 a.m. PST, and closes at 11:00 a.m. PST. Brain Corp. Agrees to Power More Walmart Self-Driving Floor Scrubbers

Early next year the floors of hundreds of Walmart stores will be cleaned by self-driving scrubbing machines powered by software developed by San Diego’s Brain Corp. On Monday, Brain said Walmart (NYSE: WMT ), the world’s largest retailer, will be using BrainOS, its proprietary operating system, in 360 such autonomous machines by Jan. 31, the end of Walmart’s fiscal year.
