Chatmeter Finds Private Equity Funding


San Diego-based Chatmeter , a provider of local search marketing and reputation management services for multi-location businesses, has raised a round of investment from private equity investor Providence Strategic Growth (PSG). Financial details of the investment were not announced. Providence Strategic Growth is the growth equity fund of Providence Equity Partners. According to Chatmeter, the deal will help it accelerate its growth.

Los Angeles-based dating app developer Tinder says it is rolling out a lightweight version of its app--"Tinder Lite"--aimed at use in emerging markets, where data access is limited and more costly for its users. According to Tinder, it will first roll out the lightweight version of its app in Southeast Asia, later this summer, on Android. Tinder Lite will require 25x less space on devices, according to Tinder, and also reduce network usage by about 20 percent.
