Call of Duty World League Adds New Sponsors

Santa Monica-based Call of Duty World League , the e-sports league based on Activision Blizzard's popular Call Of Duty videogame, announced its new set of sponsors for its 2019 season this week, saying that the presenting sponsor for the league will be PlayStation4. Also joining as sponsors will be ASTRO and SCUF Gaming, both returning from last season, and adding MTN DEW AMP and ASUS as new sponsors.

Clearlake Capital Buys symplr

Santa Monica-based private equity investor Clearlake Capital Group has acquired Houston, Texas-based symplr , a provider of healthcare governance, risk, and compliance software. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Clearlake acquired symplr from its existing set of private equity investors, Pamlico Capital and The CapStreet Group. Clearlake said that symplr has over 1,500 customers representing more than 4,000 healthcare facilities in North America.

According to 8minutenergy and its financing partner, Capital Dynamics, it recently completed the 328MW Mount Signal 3 Solar Farm, which is part of the larger 800 MW Mount Signal solar cluster, the largest PV project in California, but also among the largest solar power projects in the world.

Synthorx Gets $131M In Upsized IPO For Synthetic Biology Drugs

Synthorx, which is working to develop cancer and autoimmune therapies using technology that allows it to expand the genetic alphabet, raised $131 million in an upsized IPO on Thursday. The company sold more than 11.9 million shares at $11 apiece. Nearly 1.8 million additional shares are available for its underwriters to purchase. Synthorx, headed by president and CEO Laura Shawver, had planned to sell 9.1 million shares for between $10 and $12 each.
