QLogic Now Part Of Cavium

Aliso Viejo-based storage networking products developer QLogic is now officially part of Cavium , Cavium said on Tuesday, after the $1.36 billion acquisition of QLogic completed. The two companies had announced the deal in June. QLogic was a maker of high speed networking and storage networking devices; Cavium makes networking semiconductors. The sale of QLogic comes two years after the sudden death of founder and Chairman HK Desai, revenue stumbles , and big executive shuffling at the company.

Intel To Open New Studio In Hollywood Aimed At VR

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said on Tuesday that the semiconductor maker will create a new, studio in Hollywood, will will focus on creating 360-degree virtual reality sports and entertainment content, using its technology.
