Ingram Micro Makes Investment In E-Commerce Logistics Robotics Firm

Irvine-based technology distributor Ingram Micro has made an investment in e-commerce logistics startup HDS , which is developing a robotics system which uses artificial intelligence and mobile, articulated robots for the logistics industry. According to HDS, Ingram Micro invested an additional $10M note investment in the startup, to help it speed development ofits system.

Study: Emerging Technology Clusters Complement Silicon Valley, Others

A new study, which looks at "silicon clusters" of technology companies outside Silicon Valley, finds that those clusters actually stimulate rather than compete with developed market clusters. The study--published by Professor Nukhet Harmancioğlu (Koc University, Turkey) and Gerard J. Tellis (USC Marshall)--said the research counters the prevailing wisdom that those clusters "steal" from Silicon Valley and other clusters in developed markets.

H Code Wins Peruvian TV Network

Los Angeles-based digital advertising provider H Code , which offers up advertising for the U.S. Hispanic market, has signed a new publisher, the company said Thursday. H Code said it has signed up Peruvian television network Amrica Televisin, and will represent all of that network's digital ad inventory. Financial details of the deal were not announced.
