AutoGravity Names New CEO, CTO

Irvine-based online car shopping and financing provider AutoGravity announced both a new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer this morning, saying that it has named Alex Mallmann named CEO and Jason Bonifay as CTO. Mallmann also joins AutoGravity's board of directors. Mallman was most recently President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Auto Finance China, having served at Mercedes-Benz sine 1998.

RA Medical Systems Files For $86.25M IPO

Carlsbad-based RA Medical Systems , which develops cardiovascular and dermatology catheters and excimer lasers, has filed for an IPO, saying that it is looking to raise up to $86.25M in an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. RA Medical Systems said it filed to trade under the symbol RMED. The IPO is being underwritten by Piper Jaffray, Cantor, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and Nomura.

Los Angeles-based HyreCar , which operates a car sharing marketplace, said today that it is in a strategic partnership with DriveItAway , a car dealership company that offers up turn-key software, insurance, and training to help car dealerships aimed at the ridesharing market get off the ground. Fabiano was most recently Managing Director at GSO Capital Partners LP, which is part of Blackstone, and also has served as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.
