Miso Robotics Names CTO

Pasadena-based robotics developer Miso Robotics said this morning that it has named Christopher Kruger as its new Chief Technology Officer, and also named several new members to its board of advisors. Kruger was most recently at iRobot, and also served at Hewlett Packard Inc. (HP). Current CTO Ryan Sinnet will become Chief Research Officer at the company.

Culver City-based Replicated, a developer of a container-based platform which makes it easier for software vendors to deploy cloud native applications inside customers'​ environments, has raised $50M in its Series C funding, the company said Tuesday. The funding was led by Owl Rock, a division of Blue Owl Capital, and also included Lead Edge Capital, Headline and existing investors including Two Sigma Ventures, Amplify Partners, BoldStart, Ridgeline, and Heavybit.

Sonos, The North Face In Partnership

Santa Barbara-based speaker and music system developer Sonos and outdoor brand The North Face said Monday that the two are in a new partnership, to help promote the new Sonos portable speaker, the Sonos Roam. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. The companies said the partnership will revolve around the "opportunity to experience the outdoors through exclusive content on Sonos Radio".

Walt Disney Announces 2021 Accelerator Companies

Burbank-based The Walt Disney Company has announced the participants in this year's startup accelerator program at the company. According to the company, it has selected eight companies for the 2021 Disney Accelerator Program, including companies in the areas of messaging, the frontiers of technology, e-commerce, data, and personalization.
