Semtech Gets Design Win


Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor developer Semtech announced a design win this morning, saying that smart home technology developer Savant is using the company's chips in a design. According to Semtech, Savant is using its BlueRiver AV-over-IP chipsets for a new IP video product line. Those products provider 4K video over IP to residential and commercial markets. Myotek Acquires Amptech


Irvine-based Myotek , a manufacturer of automotive OEM vehicle lighting products, has acquired Michigan-based Amptech , a manufacturer of circuit boards and electronic assemblies, according to private equity investor New Water Capital, L.P. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Amptech was founded in 1980, and is based in Manistee, Michigan, where it designs, engineers, and manufactures circuit boards for the automotive, utility, and other industrial markets.

San Diego-based outsourced, scientific services marketplace Scientist.com said this morning that it is expanding in the Asia-Pacific region, and has opened up a new office in Tokyo, Japan. According to the firm, it recently created marketplaces for several Japanese pharmaceutical companies. According to ZipRecruiter, it has added GoDaddy's Black Irving, Facebook's Cipora Herman, and LinkedIn's Emilie Choi to its board of directors. Irving was most recently CEO of GoDaddy, and also served at Microsoft and Yahoo, and sits on the board of Docusign.
