Ingram Micro Expands In Peru


Irvine-based Ingram Micro , which provides electronics distribution and supply chain services, said on Tuesday that it is expanding its operations in Lima, Peru, with the opening of a new IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) processing center, part of its Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services arm. Ingram Micro said the facility is the third facility in South America.

Santa Barbara-based Curtail , a new cybersecurity startup which recently landed $3.25M in funding, said this morning that it has named two VPs. According to the startup, Deborah Scanlon will serve as vice president of strategic sales, and Nigel Quinnin will take on the role of vice president of development at the company. Curtail recently raised $3.25M in a seed funding round from Tarus Capital.

Crowdstrike , the cloud security software developer led by George Kurtz, has filed for an IPO, saying in a filing on Tuesday afternoon that it is looking to debut its IPO on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as CRWD. Crowdstrike was started in Irvine, where it still has substantial operations. The IPO is being underwritten by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P.

Soulmates.AI Targets Social Media Measurement


Pasadena-based startup Soulmates.AI said today that it has launched a new tool, Social ROI Reporter, which it says helps brands and agencies with measuring the dollar value of their social media and influencer marketing campaigns. According to Soulmates.AI, its new tool helps marketers track their marketing performance on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, and helps them compare their performance against competitors. Clearlake's NetDocuments Gets New Investment


NetDocuments , the developer of a cloud-based platform for managing the documents of law firms and corporate legal and compliance departments which is backed by Santa Monica-based private equity investor Clearlake Capital , has scored a new, strategic funding. According to NetDocuments, it has received a "significant" new equity investment from another private equity investor, Cove Hill Partners. Size and terms of that investment was not announced by the companies.

Endpoint Security Company CrowdStrike Files Publicly for IPO


CrowdStrike , the cybersecurity company that identified the two Russian government-linked hacker groups that invaded the Democratic National Committee (DNC)’s network during the 2016 presidential campaign, filed publicly for an initial public offering on Tuesday. Sunnyvale, CA-based CrowdStrike sells cloud-based security software and related services by subscription to businesses.

Virtium Sold to Court Square Capital Partners


Rancho Santa Margarita-based Virtium , a developer of ruggedized, industrial, embedded solid state drives and memory, has been sold to private equity investor Court Square Capital Partners , by its existing private equity owner, L Square Capital Partners. Financial details of the deal were not announced. According to L Squared, since its investment in Virtium in July of 2015, Virtium saw its organic revenues more than double, and a tripling of its EBITDA.

Grindr's Chinese Owner Ordered To Sell App Over National Security Concerns


The Chinese owner of Los Angeles-based gay dating app Grindr must sell Grindr by June of 2020, after reaching an agreement with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. CFIUS). Beijing Kunlun Tech Co. , the Chinese owner of Grindr, said on Monday that it reached an agreement to sell Grindr before June 30, 2020, and also prohibits the company from accessing any information about Grindr's users, or transferring any of its user data to any entities based in China.
