NVE Experience Agency Buys The Future Party


Beverly Hills-based NVE Experience Agency , a live event production company, said it has acquired The Future Party , a community-based organizer of monthly dinners, parties, salons, and "branded activations" for Millenial and Generation Z creators and entrepreneurs, the companies said this morning. Financial details of the buy were not announced. The Future Party was founded in 2012 by Boye Fajinmi, Francis Pollara, Layne Button, Paul Yurick, and Steven Haddadian.

BVAccel Acquires Unit Of WebLinc


San Diego-based BVAccel , a provider of e-commerce website design and development, optimization, marketing services, and other services, said today that it has acquired the internal commerce agency of WebLinc Corp. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. BVAccel is majority owned by private equity investor August Spark. According to BVAccel, the acquisition will help it expand and strengthen its e-commerce service offerings.

REX Moves HQ To Texas


Former Los Angeles-based online real estate startup REX has shifted its headquarters to Texas, after the move of its CEO to Austin, in a loss to Southern California's growing high tech startup community--although the company says it still has a team of 50 in Woodland Hills, and that it expects to continue to grow its team in that location.

The funding came from Sequoia Capital China and Highlight Capital. Los Angeles-based drone imagery and UAV pilot network operator DroneBase has received a strategic funding round from thermal imaging camera maker FLIR Systems , the two said this morning, with FLIR becoming the exclusive provider of thermal imaging cameras for the DroneBase pilot network. Size of the investment was not announced.
