Ingram Micro Launches Startup Competition

Irvine-based Ingram Micro , a distributor of technology products and provider of cloud and other related services, has launched a new competition aimed at startups, thec ompany said this morning. According to Ingram Micro, its new Comet Competition is aimed at early stage, independent software vendors (ISVs), which will award $5M in money and funding to a total of 60 ISVs, through a series of 16 competitions, which it will conduct internationally.

Financial details of the buy were not announced. CUC Software was based in Billings, Montana, and was founded in 1981. Resource Global Professionals Acquires Veracity Consulting For $30.6M

Irvine-based Resources Connection , a business consulting firm which does business as Resources Global Professionals (RGP), has acquired Veracity Consulting Group, LLC in a deal worth $30.6M. According to RGP, the cash deal also included additional payments based on longer-term performance. Veracity is based in Richmond, Virginia, and provides consulting to healthcare organizations, and had $21.4M in revenues in 2018.
