Craft Ventures, a venture capital firm which has offices in Los Angeles, has co-led a $14M, funding round in real estate startup Avenue 8, Avenue 8 said on Monday. The $14M funding round was co-led by Threshold Ventures and Craft Ventures. Yahoo Back After Verizon Media Acquisition

Yahoo--one of the Internet's first companies--is back as a standalone company, after the private equity acquisition of Verizon Media by private equity firm Apollo Funds. Viasat Completes Rignet Acquisition

Carlsbad-based satellite communications and equipment provider Viasat said Friday that it has completed its acquisition of Rignet, a provider of high speed communications services to the oil and gas and other similar industries. The deal was worth approximately $222M in stock. Viasat said the deal will help it expand into new adjacent industries, including renewable energy, transportation, maritime, mining and other enterprise markets.

Boingo Wins Deal At Rockefeller Center
