Disney, Google Ink New Advertising Deal

Google and The Walt Disney Company said on Tuesday that the two companies have inked a new, global strategic relationship, where Disney will move its digital video and display business onto Google's Ad Manager. Google said that Disney will use Google as its core ad technology platform, where Google will power the advertising for all of Disney's properties, including Disney, ABC, ESPN, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars, including live streaming, direct-to-consumer content, mobile apps, and live events.

Findaspot Launches API For Meeting Coordination

Los Angeles-based Findaspot , a developer of geolocation technology which it says helps coordinate meeting spots, says it has rolled out a new API and software which helps find meeting spots for colleagues, family, friends, and dating prospects. The startup--which provides its API to others--also has launched an app on iOS and Android which helps recommend spots on a map based on where people are treavling from and to, with links to Yelp and other information.

Camp, Woolsey Wildfires Losses To Hit As Much As $19 Billion

Irvine-based property information provider CoreLogic said today that it has calculated residential and commercial loss estimates for the recent catastrophic Camp and Woolsey wildfires in California, saying those losses are estimated to total between $15 billion and $19 billion. According to CoreLogic, it estimates between $11 billion and $13 billion in losses due to the Camp Fire in Paradise, with total losses from Southern California's Woolsey Fire to be another $4 billion to $6 billion.

Cyber Monday Sales Hit $7.9 Billion

Cyber Monday sales figures this year are expected to hit $7.9 billion, according to Adobe, saying that online sales this year are a 19.7 percent increase year-over-year. The company--which calculated the numbers at 7:00 p.m. ET last night--said that sales on Thanksgiving Day totaled $3.7 billion (up 28 percent year-over-year) and sales on Black Friday were $6.2 billion (up 23.6 percent year-over-year).
