Rogue Games Gets $2M

Los Angeles-based Rogue Games , an independent game publisher, said on Friday that it has raised $2M in a funding round. The game developer--which publishes such titles as Sociable Soccer, Wild Life, Swift Knight, Mind Symphony, Hexaflip, and other games, said the funding was led by Runa Capital, and also included Mighty Capital, Grishin Robotics, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Ronnie Lott.

Last October, Alexion (NASDAQ: ALXN ) struck a $930 million deal to acquire Achillion Pharmaceuticals , a biotech whose lead drug complements the Boston company’s own therapies for rare blood diseases.

Semtech Gets Design Win With YoSmart

Camarillo-based analog and mixed-signal semiconductor provider Semtech Corporation has scored a design win for its LoRa wireless products, saying this week that YoSmart will use its LoRa devices in a new line of Internet of Things (IoT) products. Semtech said YoSmart will use LoRa in its YoLink product line, which connect a variety of home applications, including doors, security systems, electrical outlets, and water piping to accurately monitor data in real time.

Santa Monica-based GoodRx , which operates an online health marketplace, says it has launched a new lab marketplace to help patients find COVID-19 testing options. According to GoodRx, its marketplace offers educational information along with access to two providers of COVID-19 tests, and at-home and walk-in testing options. The company says it plans to add more test and providers as they become available.
