Santa Monica-based Bird , which offers up rentals of electric scooters for the "last mile" of your commute, has expanded to San Francisco, San Jose, and Washington, DC. The startup--which just raised a massive $100M for expansion of its services this month, also said it is working with cities to share in revenues made from riders on those vehicles. Bird previously only offered up its services in Santa Monica, San Diego, and some other parts of Los Angeles.

Relativity Takes $35M More For 3D Printed Rockets

Los Angeles-based Relativity , which is developing automated, robot-based, 3D printing technology specifically aimed at manufacturing space rockets, has raised $35M in a Series B funding round, the company said today.
