Los Angeles-based ChargerHelp, a new startup focused on offering up repair to electric vehicle charging stations, has raised $2.75M in a funding round, the company disclosed on Monday. The startup, founded by Kameale C. Terry, said the funding came from Trucks VC, Kapor Capital, JFF, Energy Impact Partners and The Fund. ChargerHelp said it offers up on-demand repair of EV charging stations, using a local workforce which has been trained on EVSE maintenance.

Chatsworth-based data storage provider DDN reported this morning that it has been selected by a Korean customer, NAVER Corporation, which will use its products for a number of AI services and research projects. NAVER is the owner of the popular LINE messaging service. DDN said its products are being used as part of the NAVER CLOVA AI platform, which provides speech and image recognition and artificial neural network translation.

According to TutorMe, the integration gives users of the Clever service on-demand access to its 24/7 online tutoring platform. Financial details of the link were not announced. TutorMe provides online tutoring through video chat, screen sharing, and virtual whiteboards.

Newport Beach-based Volonic, a newly launched company which bills itself as a "luxury lifestyle brand", said it has launched, saying it has created a $250,000 solid gold wireless charger. According to the company, the new product--the Volonic Valet 3--is available for pre-order, and will include 1,500 grams of 18-karat yellow gold. The company--which apparently has yet to build the charger--also offers up other, "luxury" wireless chargers, starting at around $685.00.
