Snapchat's Gender Swap Filter Takes Down Cop

In an unconventional, and probably unintended use of the Snapchat "gender switch" filter, a Bay Area college student has snagged a cop , who allegedly was looking to "hook up" with a teenage girl. The Snapchat filter--which went viral in May--makes users photos look like the opposite gender, by modifying photos to change face shape, skin texture, hair length, and other characteristics.

Evofem Biosciences Raises $50M More

San Diego-based Evofem Biosciences , a biopharmaceuticals firm developing women's sexual and reproductive health products, announced late Monday that it has received $50M more in funding, from PDL BioPharma. The funding is part of a larger, $80M financing deal the two announced earlier in the year, which included $30M from PDL in April. According to Evofem Biosciences, the new financing will go to advance commercialization of its lead asset, Amphora.
