KLiP Launches Weatherproof Case For Raspberry Pi, Arduino

Santa Barbara-based startup KLiP Industries said this morning that it has launched its first product, a weatherproof case for the popular Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and BeagleBone embedded computers. According to KLiP, it has developed a weatherproof, IP67 rated enclosure system which can handle the RPi or other single board computers, as well as two additional expansion boards and shields, and is intended to support deployment of IoT solutions into the real world.

Comcast Ventures , the venture capital arm of Comcast Corporation , announced this morning that it has opened up an office in Santa Monica, and hired on Dinesh Moorjani as Managing Director in the new office. Moorjani was previously Executive-in-Residence at Warburg Pincus, and also was founder and CEO of Hatch Labs. According to Comcast, Moorjani helped co-found Tinder out of Hatch Labs, and also has served at IAC/InteractiveCorp and Samsung Electronics.

The funding was led by Redmile Group, and also included Lux Capital, dRx Capital, and Sanofi Genzyme BioVentures. As part of the funding, Rob Faulkner of Redmile joins the company's board.

El Segundo-based NEOGOV , the developer of human resources automation software for the public sector, has raised a round of growth equity from private equity investor Warburg Pincus. Size of the investment round was not announced. NEOGOV, which is led by Damir Davidovic, was founded in 2000, and has not previously received institutional funding.
