On-demand, scooter rental service Lime --which is locked in a battle for a number of cities with Santa Monica-based competitor Bird --has launched its own service in Bird's home market, saying on Thursday that it has entered the LA market. According to Lime, its Lime-S electric scooters have come to LA, alongside its existing fleet of electric bicycles, with a cost of $1 to unlock and $0.15/minute to ride.

Biogen Makes Another Small Bet With Option Deal for TMS Stroke Drug

The latest is a deal to pick up a compound now in mid-stage testing in stroke victims. Cambridge, MA-based Biogen (NASDAQ: BIIB ) said Thursday that it will pay TMS of Japan $4 million up front for the exclusive option to acquire the drug TMS-007 down the road.

HyreCar Bumps IPO Size

Los Angeles-based HyreCar , which operates a marketplace that connects car owners with drivers for services such as Uber and Lyft, has bumped its IPO size, saying in a filing on Thursday that it is looking to offer 2,100,000 shares of its common stock at between $5.00 and $6.00 per share. The IPO could raise as much as $12.6M for the company. The IPO--which is relatively small as IPOs go--would put HyreCar on the Nasdaq Capital Market trading as HYRE.
