Semtech Sells Off Unit To Rambus

Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor developer Semtech Corporation said on Monday that it has agreed to divest its Snowbush intellectual property (IP) business--which develops designs for high speed serial networking interfaces--to Rambus. Semtech said Rambus will pay $32.5M in cash, along with a future royalty through 2022 based on sales.

Digital Networks Group Acquired By Telerent Leasing

Aliso Viejo-based Digital Networks Group , a provider of AV and IT integration for the healthcare, education, and government sector, has been acquired by Raliegh, North Carolina-based Telerent Leasing Corporation. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The companies said that Telerent is a provdier of hospital television, display, and signage systems integration services, with customers that represent more than 40 percent of U.S. hospitals.

Netflix To Launch New, Original Content From India

Online movie and television streaming provider Netflix , which has significant operations in Los Angeles, is launching its first, ever original series from the country of India. Netflix said today that it is filming a new, Netflix original series, based on the novel Sacred Games, by Indian author Vikram Chandra. Netflix said the series will be filmed in Hindi and English, and will be available to its members globally when filmed.
